Governance

Our structure

The Society is governed by an elected National Council, led by the President, Vice President, Immediate Past President, Honorary Secretary and Honorary Treasurer, together with elected councillors drawn from across the regions.

The Council is responsible for the overall governance, strategic direction and performance of the Society in accordance with its Constitution and Regulations. It is supported by standing committees that provide oversight in specific areas of the Society’s work.

Council brings the voice of members to the table and represents the diversity of the profession. It is accountable to the membership at the Annual General Meeting, and is the Society’s position statement and advocacy body.
